HILLSDALE, NY Oct 15, 2018 – Representative John Faso can no longer hide his career as a lobbyist for a big natural gas pipeline company.

A new video ad, “The Pipeline,” released today by the Catskills Freedom Network, reveals how Faso – a paid front man for Constitution Pipeline – worked to persuade upstate New Yorkers to give up their property for a 30-inch gas pipeline.

But not everyone was buying what Faso was selling.

Indeed, when Summit, NY, resident Jerry Fiore said, “No,” they harassed him for three years and seized his property using Eminent Domain.

“How can this happen in America?” asks Fiore.

“The Pipeline” is another case study of how lobbyist John Faso was willing to put corporate interests ahead of those of individual New Yorkers – pretty much the same as Congressman John Faso today.

“Each week from now until election day, Nov. 6, voters in New York’s
19th Congressional District can watch our latest ads on YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook – along with ads highlighting how Congressman Faso has hurt working families,” said Sherwood Guernsey, CFN Chair.

“Faso has a history of betraying his constituents,” added Michael Dvorchak of Hillsdale, NY.  “Not only did he work as a lobbyist against the rights of New Yorkers like Jerry Fiore, he voted to deprive health care for millions of Americans – while endangering people with pre-existing conditions – and to cut Medicaid for seniors and the disabled.  He has also supported huge corporate tax cuts, while offering temporary crumbs to the middle-class, and has voted repeatedly to undo workplace safety protections, placing hard-working Americans at risk.  In short, he has betrayed his constituents, and our ads will highlight all of this.”

The Catskills Freedom Network was created in 2017 by a group of concerned citizens from Schoharie and Columbia counties in New York and Berkshire County, MA to help bring about a change in Congress, so we all can have a brighter future.
